Der Hohe Dom zu Eichstätt

Bishop Gregor Maria Hanke will reopen Eichstätt Cathedral with a solemn pontifical mass on Sunday, October 20. According to the adjusted construction schedule, the cathedral will shine in new splendor for the church consecration festival.

Nach der Zwangspause wegen der Rauchentwicklung durch ein brennendes Abluftgerät gehen die Sanierungsarbeiten im Eichstätter Dom weiter. Dabei wird es bunt und golden: Die Kirchenmaler sind am Werk.

The renovation work on Eichstätter Cathedral, which began more than four years ago, is making further progress. A large part of the scaffolding has now been dismantled. In addition, the cathedral shines in new splendor: the lighting inside is finished - we have taken a look at the new lighting concept.
